Remove Blank Pages

Finds blank pages in your PDF and removes them automatically. Each page is checked in your browser; the file is never uploaded.

Blank backs of scanned pages often have light specks or shadows; try the second option in that case. The result lists which pages were removed.

The blank page remover finds empty pages in a PDF and takes them out automatically. It is handy for double-sided scans with empty backs, extra pages created when exporting from Word, or separator sheets in merged files. Each page is rendered small in your browser and the amount of text or images on it is measured; scanner shadows at the edges are ignored. Choose the sensitivity: only fully white pages, or also nearly blank pages with light specks. All other pages stay exactly as they are. The result lists the removed page numbers.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF file.
  2. Choose the sensitivity.
  3. Click Prepare.
  4. The PDF without blank pages downloads, and the removed page numbers are shown.

Frequently asked questions

Could a page with content be removed?

Pages with very little on them (for example only a page number) may be removed with the “nearly blank” option. For important documents start with “Only completely blank pages” and check the page numbers in the result. Your original file is not changed.

Can I pick the pages to delete myself?

Yes, use Delete PDF Pages for that.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Pages are checked in your browser and the file is never sent to a server.
