Make a table form fillable
The table-to-form tool finds ruled tables in a flat PDF, such as one exported from Word or Excel, and adds a fillable text field to the empty answer cell beside each label. Fields are named after the table heading, so repeated labels such as “Name” in different sections stay distinct. You download a fillable PDF. Field positions come from the table lines, so check that the boxes line up when you open the file.
How to use it
- Choose the flat PDF you want to make fillable.
- Click Prepare. The tool finds ruled tables and adds a field to each empty value cell.
- Open the downloaded PDF in Acrobat, Chrome or another PDF viewer and fill in the fields.
Frequently asked questions
Which PDFs work?
PDFs with text whose tables have cells separated by lines. Scanned pages have no text to read, so run OCR first.
Are signature and date fields added?
Not in this version. Only table cells become fields. You can add signature or date lines afterwards with the PDF signature tool.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is processed in your browser and never sent to a server.
